Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Training
Experience GD&T training with the BKW difference. GD&T is a powerful system to ensure that the functionality of a product design (e.g. assembly fit, gap consistency and aesthetics, smooth operation, etc.) is captured properly on an engineering drawing. It is a clear language that can be consistently and accurately interpreted by designers, manufacturers, and quality inspectors.
We will put together a program for you that emphasizes the aspects of the ASME Y14.5-2009 standard that are most relevant to your products. We will identify the key relationships and functions of your parts and assemblies and apply the system to your parts as we learn. Our goal is that you come away from the training with a deep understanding of the system, so that you may use it skillfully to optimize your product design, and ensure that the manufactured parts fulfill their function. |
DFx
Design for assembly, design for manufacturing, design for service. A product, and its financial success, benefits from considering DFx early in the product development process and throughout.

Design of Moulded Parts
This one-day course provides an overview of designing plastic parts for injection moulding. Many of the concepts can be extended to the design of cast metal parts. Topics covered include: overview of tooling, parting lines, draft, textures, optimizing flow, cosmetic concerns (sinks, splay, etc.), fastening, and drawing techniques.
